First, The Federal Highway Administration delivered approval on a long term improvement plan for the Intertate 70 mountain corridor that will include widening the highway in places and, eventually, a high speed rail line connecting communities with the Front Range. |

Golden Peak will also host the men's slalom and giant slalom qualifying races. |

Eagle & Gypsum UpdateHaymeadow ProjectThe Haymeadow project in Eagle was submitted to the town earlier this spring. The 979-unit development is proposed on the 660-acre property adjacent to the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink site southeast of town. Annexation petitions have also been submitted and in the weeks and months ahead, the project will be examined by the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission, and ultimately the Eagle Town Board. Highlights in the proposal include 60% of the property to remin open space, a wildlife movement corridor, a community park, new bike trails, a community pavilion, and a 17-acre school site. |
