This week many members of the Prudential Colorado Properties team attended the annual Colorado Association of Realtors (CAR) Convention.  The three-day event focused on new and emerging trends, technologies and myriad of classes for continuing education.  The event was highlighted by an all-day workshop for Broker/Managers led by Larry Kendall of The Group in Ft.

Sales activity in the Vail Valley real estate market this year is on par with 2010. 

Unit sales show only a 4% decline from a year ago while dollar volume is down a full 24%.  This signals that ...

Market Trends
With Q1 behind us we have a better understanding of where our market is compared to previous years.
 
For the quarter, 2011 unit sales of 210 are tracking slightly above 2010 (192) and just short of 2008 (216).  This snapshot of the last 3 years (we’ll take out 2009 all together) has the valley’s unit sales at roughly what we have experienced over the last several years.  You have to go back to 1996 to find units sales at our current level. 

Prudential Financial Chairman and CEO John Strangfeld announced that The Prudential Foundation is contributing $6.1 million to support disaster-relief efforts in Japan.
