In the fall of 1993, Baltimore native Mark Weinreich packed his belongings and his Labrador, Winnie, and moved to the Vail Valley to ski. Mark left a successful career in the dealership networks of Porsche, Audi, and Jaguar and now makes his home in Avon.

His customer service background suited Weinreich’s next business enterprise. He soon partnered with friends and opened Venture Sports, a ski and bike shop in Avon. His entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic served the business well. Mark’s ideals of teamwork, customer relationships, and innovative marketing practices have earned Venture Sports a reputation as a top ski and bike shop in the Vail Valley.

Although Weinreich passed the Maryland State real estate exam in 1992, he postponed his full-time entry into the profession to bring Venture Sports to the level it is today. Along the way, Weinreich added a number of Vail Valley rentals to his portfolio and personally negotiated the initial commercial lease and subsequent renewals for Venture Sports. During that busy time he also was the developer and general contractor for a project in Silverthorne. Mark continues demonstrating a firm commitment to Eagle County real estate though his investments and developments.

Mark’s community involvements include, President of the Avon Business Association, Past President of the Brett Ranch Home Owner’s Association, Arrowhead Alpine Club Board member, Edwards Rotary member and Ambassador for the Vail Valley Chamber and Tourism Bureau.
